Linux kernel 2.6.28 has been released, adding exiting new features like a memory-manager for GPUs and support for ext4.
It seems like the new kernel attracts quite some traffic because I get this notice when I try to look at the extensive changelog:
The server is taking too long to respond; please wait a minute or 2 and try again.
via lkml.org.
Is that a good sign because Linux is popular, or bad because it shows that the servers can’t handle a large amount of traffic?
(Third possibility: it’s a coincidence.)
